The Finance Research Group aspires to combine frontiers research in finance, combined with deep roots in the Indian reality so as to create new knowledge and apply this knowledge for improved decision making in government and in the financial industry. The past and present projects of the group are in the areas of market microstructure and market quality, household finance, firm finance and bankruptcy law and research.
We have access to an array of high quality datasets from markets. We cultivate full institutional knowledge through a study of laws, regulations, study of institutions, their functions and their structure. We engage in ongoing conversations with decision makers in government and the financial industry so as to understand the questions that they face. These elements allow us to connect to the larger discourse and academic journals.
